ResearchGate.

Loves future work. Research interests: complex nonlinear optics, physics, hard science fiction.

Zimu Zhu

PhD student (zz346)

Toronto native. Graduate of Engineering Science (Physics) at the University of Toronto. Currently working on nonlinear dynamics in multimode fiber. Loves food, arts and sports.

Walter Fu

PhD student (wpf32)

Hails from either St. Louis or Philadelphia, depending on the day. After studying physics at Washington University, he came to Cornell, where he is now researching fiber lasers with an eye towards their practical applications. In his downtime, he enjoys playing music and contra dancing.

Pavel Sidorenko

Post-doc (ps865) Ph.D. Physics, Technion – Israel Institute of Technology

Research interests: high-harmonic generation, coherent diffractive imaging, and super-resolution imaging. Currently working on nonlinear ultrafast fiber lasers for hyper-spectral nonlinear microscopy.

Michael Buttolph

PhD student (mlb348)

Coming from the White Mountains of New Hampshire, he wants to use physics to make a difference. His interests are always expanding, and currently include development of fiber sources, plasma physics, and computation. Also loves to travel in the quest for new experiences.

Yi-Hao Chen

PhD student (yc2368)

Loves judo, physics, and math. Also a practitioner of the principles of judo, seiryoku zen’yō (maximum efficiency, minimum effort) and jita kyōei (mutual welfare and benefit). He is currently working on nonlinear fiber optics hoping to make something different.

Andrei Isichenko

Undergrad (ami25)

Born in San Diego, CA and from Westchester, NY. He studies Engineering Physics and loves mountain biking and playing ice hockey.
