6/12/2017 – Congratulations to Yuxing Tang, who will soon start his new job as an associate at Wells Fargo, and Zhanwei Liu, who will do the same at CoAdna Photonics! Yuxing recently attended convocation, and is the 27th PhD student to graduate from the Wise group.
5/17/2017 – New manuscripts by Wright et al., Fu et al. and Liu et al. on spatiotemporal mode-locking in multimode fiber lasers, high-power femtosecond pulses without a modelocked laser, and megawatt peak power from a Mamyshev oscillator. 1/1/2017 – Happy New Year – to finish 2016, several new papers were published, in Nature Photonics, Optics Letters, and Optica on self-organized instability in multimode fibers, multimode solitons in few-mode fiber, and generation of intense Raman-shifted solitons in the mid-infrared.
11/03/2016 – Prof Wise gave the Lester Wolfe lecture at the Wellman Center for Photomedicine, Harvard Medical School.
