Yi-Hao Chen

Post-doc (yc2368)

Loves judo, physics, and math. Also a practitioner of the principles of judo, seiryoku zen’yō (maximum efficiency, minimum effort) and jita kyōei (mutual welfare and benefit). He is currently working on nonlinear fiber optics hoping to make something different.

Henry Haig

PhD Student (tsh67)

Henry is interested in developing ultrafast fiber lasers for applications and in studying nonlinear spatiotemporal waves in multimode fiber.

Yishai Eisenberg

PhD Student (ye44)

Yishai hopes to learn new and old physics, then manipulate it to create new technologies. When he’s not working on that he enjoys hiking and doing nothing.

Nicholas Bender

Post-doc (neb78)

Nick’s interests revolve around using wavefront shaping to create and control complex light in free space and in disordered media.

Wenchao Wang

Post-doc (ww498)

Wenchao’s previous research mainly focused on nonlinear dynamics and interesting physical phenomena in fiber lasers. Now he is committed to generating ultrafast lasers with high pulse energy through nonlinear amplification, to provide reliable light sources for scientific research and practical applications.

Thulasi Srinivasan

Post-doc (ts876)

Thulasi is currently focusing on the exploration of laser oscillators with good stability and high energy that can be used to build a rigid ultrafast fiber laser system for bio-imaging applications. Prior to this her research concentrated on building femtosecond fiber lasers and multi-photon microscopes.

Varun Sharma

Post-doc (varunsha939@gmail.com)

As a cycling enthusiast with a fervent love for soccer and badminton, I find joy and fulfillment in the outdoor sports. My academic pursuit in the realm of photonics focuses on the development of coherent sources of light, nonlinear optics and integrated photonics. I am particularly fascinated by the complexities of the multimodal nonlinear optics and interested in developing methods to generate, control and manipulate spatio-temporal degrees of freedom.
